Weddings at Ivory Tree

IVORY TREE

INTRODUCTION
Few experiences can be as personalised as a wedding and we therefore realise that each experience will require attention to the finest detail. Needless to say each wedding will present different challenges, our expertise at Ivory Tree have been highly effective. Whilst this guide offers a broad range of options, specific rates will be subject to individual requirements.

The Pilanesberg National Park is characterized by impressive volcanic mountain forms and rolling savannah grasslands. These features have created one of the most topographically diverse reserves in South Africa.

Nestled in an extinct volcanic crater the vistas created are breathtaking, transporting one back to when time was forgotten and the great game of Africa roamed free.

BUSH CEREMONY SITE
The atmosphere created is one of ancient romance and unknown expectations which creates the perfect environment.
Our Bush ceremony site is situated in the vastness of 55 000 hectares of unspoilt wilderness which is the Pilanesberg National Park. The site is unfenced and therefore you will have armed rangers ensuring that your special day does not include uninvited guests such as the Big 5 or any other of the wild inhabitants of the Pilanesberg National Park.

Guests will be transported from the lodge in 10 seater game viewing vehicles. No additional charge for this as it typically replaces the inclusive morning or afternoon game drive.

A set up fee for the ceremony site will be charged at R3000-00.
This includes: chairs (green canvas director chairs), satellite bar, white damask linen, rectangular tables, and cool hand towels.

THE BOMA
For a more relaxed venue the boma is definitely your choice. This venue creates a magnificent African atmosphere under starlight and makes a stunning wedding venue for fire-side dinners. The boma includes a buffet area and a bar.

The maximum number of people that can be accommodated is 120.

THE POOL PATIO
The ambiance created as the waterfall cascades into the pool sets, the scene for this more tranquil and traditional wedding venue, an ideal environment in which to create a world of candelabras, flowers and revelry.

The maximum number of people that can be accommodated is 120.

VENUE HIRE
Venue hire is typically not applicable as weddings are arranged for in-house guests, where exclusivity of a particular area within the lodge is requested for example the boma or dining room or patio this would be subject to guest numbers and where exclusive use of the lodge was secured there would be no additional charge. In the event that exclusive use and entertainment is required, this will be determined by the size of the party and the nature of the area, for example in certain cases cut-off times may have to be imposed where entertainment is required in an outside area at the lodge and where there is a likelihood that non wedding guests may be disturbed.

MENU SELECTION
Standard menus do not incur additional charges. However should a deviation from the normal menu be required where this is provided on a plated service or buffet, rates will depend upon the menu. Further deviations in respect of catering are also possible and could include canapés and specialist catering.

WAITRONS
Additional waitrons may be required in the event that catering should take place away from the lodge (bush dinner venue) or where multiple plated service is required

BAR SERVICES
We would be happy to discuss individual requirements with respect to specific beverages, we cannot, however, permit beverages to be brought into the lodge.

ROOM DROPS
Room drops can take place during normal evening game drive times, this is typically between 17h00 and 19h00.
